Virus Alerts
After a great deal of testing, I have concluded that Trend Micro provides virus protection that offers an excellent combination of speed and effectiveness. They work very hard to keep current with the ever-expanding number of virus and malware threats that can compromise your computer. Please note, I have no financial stake or arrangement with Trend Micro; I simply believe they offer a quality product.
The dashboard below is a link to Trend's "Threat Resource Center". It will give you up-to-date information on virus and malware threats that Trend Micro considers prevalent and dangerous.
There are three sections to the tool:
- At the top left, you can enter a suspect web address to retrieve Trend Micro's judgement on that sites safety.
- At the bottom left is a link to descriptions of the "hottest" threats to your computer.
- Clicking on the red house logo at the bottom right will take you to a free online virus scanner provided by Trend Micro. It will require a small installation procedure, but I highly recommend using this service.
